Frequently asked questions

What is the gocta CTA Grader?

A free tool that scores a landing page's primary call to action on eight dimensions, using the static HTML, with the evidence it found. No login, no LLM.

How does the CTA grader score my page?

Deterministic heuristics across eight dimensions (presence/count, above the fold, prominence, copy strength, friction, singularity, mobile, value/proof proximity). Every score shows the evidence behind it.

Is it free?

Yes. Free, no signup.

What is a good CTA score?

B (80+) means the primary CTA is present, prominent, and reasonably clear. A is 90+. C and below usually means a competing ask, weak copy, or the button is missing from the first screen. How to set up a call to action

Why did my page score low or show no CTA?

The grader reads static HTML only, so pages that render their CTA client-side (many React/Vue/Webflow builders) can look empty. Try the Run visual scan button to render the page and measure the real button. A low score can also mean the page has more than one clear primary ask. What is a call to action

Do you store the URL I submit?

No. We do not save the URL you submit, and we do not keep the page HTML. The grader fetches the page in memory, scores it, and returns the result. The only record we keep is a short-lived rate-limit counter keyed to your IP (not hashed) so the public tool cannot be flooded - a request count and a 10-minute window, not the URL. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots - it does not receive the URL you submit.
